History
Eyelematic Manufacturing Co. Inc. opened in 1953. Still a privately owned company Eyelematic has grown into a fully integrated, multi plant organization. Originally a manufacturer of eyelet parts to a number of industries today the majority of sales are focused in the cosmetic industry. Yes, we continue to supply significant quantities of parts to the automotive and electronic industries. Ten years ago we began injection molding inserts for our cosmetic closures. Today we mold in-house 95% of the threaded and slip caps our customers use. Very important to understand is that we are increasingly becoming the injection molding source for aesthetic plastic closures by major cosmetic companies. Seven years ago we opened our anodizing facility. Not only does it supply a large percentage of our anodizing requirements but it also increased the anodizing capacity of the cosmetic industry and reduced everybody's lead-times. In 1999 we opened our distribution terminal, and in May, 2001 we opened our state of the art injection molding facility. We now operate more than 30 molding machines ranging from 60 to 400 tons.
In June of 2002 we are introducing our stock 50ml and 30ml PET jars. Plus a 50ml single wall polypropylene jar, a 66mm 'loose powder' jar; and a MET jar which has a 50ml polypropylene jar assembled into an aluminum outer.
